Betafence, develops, produces and sells fencing systems for a wide variety of applications (agricultural, residential, industrial and high security). We protect industrial buildings, public infrastructure and highly sensitive sites all over the world. Our headquarters are located in Europe and we have 11 production sites in 10 countries. PLANT MANAGER TIANJIN

Function
The Plant manager is responsible for Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technology and Projects as well as for support functions such as Finance and HR. He/she will lead a plant of 180 employees together with a team of 6 managers. He/she will motivate the local management to ensure that manufacturing objectives are being met. People management and bringing employees’ positive involvement, is crucial in this function.
He/she has to make short and long term plans to increase the efficiency and profitability of the plant. He/she will ensure attainment of business objectives (KPI’s) and production schedules while ensuring product standards that will meet our company’s standards and our customers’ expectations. He/she will transfer product and equipment knowledge from Europe.

He/she will organize and monitor daily operations in order to ensure realization of targets relating to output, quality, maintenance, safety, productivity, customer service, logistics and profitability.

In cooperation with the financial manager, he/she will follow closely certain financial parameters e.g. investment, quality, production costs,… keeping the budget under control and in relation to changes in production volume. He/she will guide the Chinese sourcing team, thereby helping European plants to reduce their cost base.

Qualifications
The continued growth of our business in China requires a dedicated and proven leader able to work closely with all business functions.

We are looking for a technical university graduate with experience in manufacturing/technology. You have worked/work in China and are familiar with the Chinese culture. You combine minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing or supply chain with minimum 5 years management experience in an operational environment. Excellent English knowledge is a must.
Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, good organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
Proficiency in financial matters is also important to be successful as a plant manager.
